Prof. Yonatan Goshen-Gottstein’s lab investigates episodic memory. He has studied the retrieval dynamics of free recall (here, here), the recency effect as a signature of short-term memory (here, here,  here), and the mechanisms that underlie recognition memory, using the signal-detection framework (here, here, here, here). In recent years, using both simulations (here) and empirical data (here), he has focused on difficulties in measuring recognition memory and on finding easily-applicable remedies for this precarious situation.
